Bob is a principal of the firm providing portfolio management, research, and client services and has been a financial market professional since 1986. He has developed proprietary measures for determining the optimal asset allocation for individuals and specializes in implementing the resulting strategy for each client.
Prior to co-founding Oarsman Capital, Bob was vice president and portfolio manager with Baird Investment Management (Robert W. Baird & Company’s asset management arm) and principal and portfolio manager with Marietta Investment Partners, LLC. Before joining Baird, Bob spent seven years as an officer of the Kingsley State Bank in Kingsley, IA.
Bob received his Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Iowa and Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Luther College in Decorah, IA. He was awarded the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation in 1997.
